I wonder why?

Why do people have a go at you for going in with certain hand.

EXAMPLE

I have 5D 7D im in the big blind and 4S 6C comes out so im open ended.  I put in a little raise and a 8D comes out giving me the straight.

When I win the hand they moan about why i would raise with 5 7?

Crazy or what.  You pays your money you plays YOUR chips.
